Research

My research interests include methodology, statistical modelling, longitudinal data analysis, the sociology of youth (especially, youth transitions and participation in education) and comparative youth research.

Teaching

On the undergraduate programme I usually teach on the year three units 47C5 The Research Process I and 47C6 The Research Process II. I also make a small contribution to the first semester unit and I teach a specialist option 47SY on the sociology of youth. Since 1994 I have taught a quantitative unit on the MSc Applied Social Research.
