I currently work as a member of the CPD group within the social work section of DASS.  Prior to this I taught on an undergraduate social work course in Wales.

I am a qualified and registered social worker with many years of experience in practice.  My main area of practice was in Child and Families teams within Local Authority social work although I also have worked in multi-disciplinary teams in Educational Psychology Services and Child and Family Psychiatry Services.  I have always been involved in student learning, both as a practice teacher and, as a social worker, inputting to academic programmes.  Prior to working in HEI I was a training officer, managing the training for Children's Services in a large Local Authority Social Services Department.
