I am at the final stages of submitting my ESRC funded PhD, which is titled 'Exploring Museum Workers’ Perspectives on Policy: Taking a ground-level approach to understanding policy within England, Scotland and Wales'. Since the age of sixteen I have been involved in volunteering, studying and helping museum services understand and implement government policy expectations. My current work centres on social objectives within museums and how cultural workers understand, interpret and implement policy objectives.
I am a Guest Lecturer and Teaching Assistant for the School of Applied Social Science. I am also an Associate Lecturer with the Open University teaching Social Science.
My particular subject interests include general social policy, cultural policy, cultural services, museums, governance, poverty, inequality and social inclusion.
