About
Professor Alison Bowes is Head of School of Applied Social Science and Professor in Sociology and has recently acted as Chair in Dementia Research, Dementia Services Development Centre. Her research interests concern the provision of services to older people and people from minority ethnic groups. She has particular expertise in qualitative methods and working with socially excluded populations and also carries out interdisciplinary research on funding long term care for older people.
